- Commercially available
Available for purchase by the general public.
Reported to be deployed in a nation's military service.
Explicitly described to be in development stage or prototype presented to the public.
- In Service
Nation in which UAV has been in military service.
Described as a legacy product by manufacturer.
- On offer
Actively advertised by manufacturer, e.g. online.
Reported to be ordered by a nation for military service.
Fundamental problems with UAV designs still need to be solved.
- Research finished
Fundamental problems solved, no indication of further development found.
Information on status is either missing or outdated.
Year first mentioned in media.
- Wingspan or rotor diameter
In case of a fixed-wing or flying-wing UAV, the wingspan is given. For rotary-wing aircraft, the diameter of the main rotor is given instead. Aircraft with ducted fans are actually larger, because of the shroud or duct that contains the propeller.
UAV length. For rotary-wing aircraft it is often unclear how this value was defined by the manufacturer.
- Altitude / AMSL
The altitude above sea level (ASL) is understood to be equal to the altitude above mean sea level (MSL).
Maximum flight time.
